Break Into Law School®

Breaking down generational barriers to law school & beyond

Are you trying to start your legal journey but aren’t sure where to begin?

Welcome to Break Into Law School®, a supportive community built to help students like you break down generational barriers and traverse across the legal field.

Break Into Law School® was founded by Sydney Montgomery, the Executive Director & Founder of Barrier Breakers®, Inc. As a first-generation lawyer and the first student from her high school to go to Princeton University, she understands how lonely and overwhelming the law school application process can feel.

Here, you can get your questions answered by Sydney and her team of former law school admissions officers. Here, we understand that entering the legal field as a first-generation or minoritized student means that answers to your questions may be different than for continuing-generation students. Here, we are focused on helping you break down barriers and transform the legal field.

Questions get answered on the Break Into Law School® podcast and our YouTube channel.

WHAT OUR LISTENERS HAVE TO SAY

“[Your podcast] has been so helpful for me whilst going through the application and LSAT process.

I wanted to specifically thank you for your How to Approach Scholarship Negotiations episode. I wasn’t initially offered a scholarship from Rutgers, but after listening to that episode, I went back as you said and asked for a scholarship, and they actually ended up giving me about half of tuition in scholarship money!

Your platform has been amazing for me, especially as a Black woman, and a first generation law student.”

- Jasmyn, 2021-2022 law school applicant
